PORTLAND, Maine — Will Conor Tubbs go all the way on “American Idol” this season? A glimpse at the Portland performer’s audition reel shows Jennifer Lopez grooving to the beat.
The YouTube video of Tubb’s alter ego, Cherry Lemonade, vamping before “American Idol” judges last year shows his strong vocal range and stage presence (not to mention that purple eyeshadow).
In the clip, Tubbs belts out the Amy Winehouse song “Rehab.”
Will he make it? Tune into “American Idol” next Wednesday when Tubbs could make his Fox debut.
