CARIBOU, Maine — The Presque Isle Wildcats compiled 60 points to capture the Aroostook League cheerleading title Friday night at the Caribou High School gym.
Caribou finished second to its archrival with 57 points and was followed by Central Aroostook of Mars Hill (52.7), Houlton (51.9) and Fort Fairfield (46.4).
The Wildcats are coached by Jenna Bradstreet. Members of the team are: Madison Bagley, Jessica Boucher, Emily Buckley, Mackayla Burbee, Madalyn Caron, Michelle Cawley, Gabriella Donovan, Justine LaBier, Lindsey Lagerstrom, Kiara Lyford, Mallory Martin, Alexandra Michaud, Kellsey Michaud, Gwenyth Ortman, Alexis Simpson, Ashley Turner and Victoria Williamson.
Several other awards were also given:
— All-star tumbling: Sarah Gerritson (CAHS) and Michelle Cawley (Presque Isle);
— All-star jumps: Karina Patterson (Caribou) and Makaya Burbee (Presque Isle);
— All-star stunt group: Caribou (Emma Theriault, Irene Thibodeau, Karina Patterson, Hannah McDonald, Mariella Marte);
— Spirit award: Fort Fairfield;
— Best dance team: Houlton;
— Best team tumbling: Presque Isle;
— Best team motions: Houlton;
— Best team jump: Caribou;
— Best team stunts: Presque Isle.
