CARIBOU, Maine — A winter storm tracking up the eastern seaboard could bring significant snowfall to Maine this weekend.
According to the National Weather Service’s Caribou forecast center, Washington and Hancock counties are expected to get the bulk of the snowfall, with the storm’s track expected to be just to the east of southern Nova Scotia.
The Bangor area could receive between 4 and 5 inches while Washington and Hancock counties could get close to 8 or 9 inches, according to the weather service.
Areas northwest of Bangor aren’t expected to see significant snowfall, according to the weather service.
The storm is expected to pass through on Saturday, according to the weather service.
