MANCHESTER, New Hampshire — Police said two 9-year-old boys were left home alone for months with an empty refrigerator and nothing but ramen noodles in the cabinet.
The boys’ uncle, Giobari Atura, 25, was charged with neglect.
Manchester police said they checked on the twins in November. They say the boys’ parents were hung up in Nigeria and couldn’t come back because of passport problems.
The parents asked the boys’ uncle to check on them.
