LINCOLN, Maine — Nine law enforcement officers found painkiller pills and other chemicals that might be illegal drugs when they raided a West Broadway apartment on Monday, officials said, but no arrests were made.
Accompanied by state police, game wardens and Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department deputies, Lincoln police found several 30-milligram prescription Percocet pills at the apartment, which is a few hundred yards south of River Road, Lincoln Public Safety Director Dan Summers said.
Further search warrants, and possibly several arrest warrants, might be served in the next few weeks, said Summers, who declined to specify what drew police to the address.
“We are hoping to expand this thing,” Summers said Monday. “The investigation has been going for quite a while — probably the last couple of months, anyway.”
The warrant was served at 9 a.m. The search ended two hours later. Police also reported finding cash at the apartment. Summers declined to say how much.
“Our additional investigation depends on the information we gather. We will see where it goes,” Summers said.
