Game notes: The Black Bears look to halt a two-game skid in a road game against the Catamounts. UMaine dropped a 77-59 decision to first-place Albany on Saturday. Vermont has lost two of its last four, but beat Hartford 65-46 on Saturday to maintain its hold on second place in the AE standings. UMaine looks to regroup after suffering a second-half collapse against the Great Danes. The Bears will welcome back freshman guard Kevin Little, who missed that contest to attend to a personal situation. However, sophomore Garet Beal of Beals Island is doubtful with a rib injury that has been diagnosed as a fracture rather than a bruise as previously thought. UVM is giving up only 54.9 ppg on .368 shooting and is shooting a conference-best 47 percent from the field. The Catamounts are 7-3 at home this season. The Black Bears continue to pace America East, registering 14.2 assists per game. They are second while averaging 7.7 3-pointers.
