Annual Skating Show
BANGOR — Members of the Sawyer Arena Skating Club will present a skating exhibition at 5 p.m. Sunday, March 1, at Sawyer Arena. Admission is free. For information, call Sawyer Arena at 947-0071.
Golf lessons
BREWER — Brewer Parks and Recreation Department will offer Tee Time Tune up golf lessons, noon-1 p.m. beginning Thursday, March 12, for four consecutive weeks in the Brewer Auditorium. The lessons are designed for players of all levels and will include fundamentals for the beginner as well as tips for the experienced player. Instructor will be Mark Hall, PGA professional.
The cost is $40 residents, $50 others. Class size will be limited to the first 10 registered. Registration is available by calling the parks and recreation office at 989-5199.
Snowshoe race
ELLSWORTH — The Bangor YMCA Wilderness Center will host a snowshoe race 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at Camp Jordan, 101 Camp Jordan Way. A 1K race for children age 8 and up, and 5K and 10K races will be available for teens and adults.
The children’s race will start at 10:30 a.m. The other races will begin at 11 a.m.
