AUGUSTA, Maine — A man was allegedly robbed on Tuesday night near the Hartford Fire Station on Water Street, according to police.

Augusta Police Lt. Chris Reade said the victim was robbed of his wallet shortly before 10 p.m.

The man was robbed by the threat of force by suspects described as a black male and a white female, who Read said were dressed in dark clothing.

Tuesday’s incident marks the second robbery in the city in less than a week, as a Rite Aid off Bangor Street was held up on Saturday afternoon. That suspect remains on the loose.

Tuesday’s incident remains under investigation.
