HIRAM, Maine — Three people were arrested last week as state police, drug agents and the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office seized a large amount of heroin, according to a statement from state police.

Kari Johnson, 41, and Lexis Dennis, 19, both of Hiram, and Raul Negron, 44, of Portland were arrested Feb. 4, according to the statement.

All three were charged with trafficking of a scheduled W drug and possession of heroin.

In all, approximately 3.2 grams of heroin were seized, according to the statement. Evidence pertaining to prescription drugs being traded for heroin also was found.

The investigation is ongoing, and further arrests and charges are likely.
