SACO, Maine — A man whose attempted armed robbery of a convenience store was foiled by a dog earlier this week remains at large, but police on Friday released a photo sketch of the suspect.

Saco Deputy Police Chief Jeffrey Holland released the sketch to the media and to the public in hopes that police will catch the robber.

The robber did not get any cash after a clerk’s dog bit him during the attempted robbery on Monday.

The suspect had threatened the clerk with a gun and the clerk refused to give out any money. The dog then lunged at the robber, biting him on each side of his face.

The robber is a white male standing 5’ 10”, weighs 180 pounds and was last seen wearing a Navy blue hooded sweatshirt with GAP on the front, black pants, grey and black gloves, a black winter hat and a dark green mask with orange liner.

Anyone with information on the case should call Saco police at 282-8216.
