PLYMOUTH, Maine — A local man died Friday night when a fire swept through his mobile home on the Lower Detroit Road after a hair dryer was used to heat a water pipe, according to the state fire marshal’s office.

The body of Aaron Gray, 64, was found in his bedroom, according to a news release issued Saturday by Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the investigators. Gray died from smoke inhalation, he said.

The fire, which was reported shortly before 10 p.m., started in the bedroom.

Gray lived alone, according to McCausland.
