BANGOR, Maine — A Bangor woman and a South Carolina man arrested in October by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Bangor police have been indicted by the federal grand jury on drug and gun charges.
Tiffany Sutherland, 29, of Bangor and Terrence, aka “Ray Ray,” Douglas, 34, of Bennettsville, South Carolina, and Bangor were found in a car driven by Timothy Thorpe, 34, of Dedham on Oct. 29 on the southbound lane of Interstate 95 near Hogan Road, according to a previously published report.
A search of Douglas’ motel room the next day led to the federal charges.
Thorpe has not been charged in federal court.
Douglas and Sutherland each were indicted on four counts related to the sale and/or possession of cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin last year. In addition, Douglas was indicted on two gun charges.
Sutherland is scheduled to be arraigned Friday. Douglas is set to appear before a judge next week.
If convicted, Douglas faces between 10 years and life in federal prison and a fine of up to $8 million on the drug charges and up to five years and a consecutive charge of between five years and life on the gun charge.
Sutherland faces between five and 40 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $5 million on the drug charges.
