BRUNSWICK, Maine — A white man in his mid-20s allegedly pointed a gun at a teller working at The Bank of Maine on Maine Street on Wednesday afternoon and demanded cash before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money.
Just after 2 p.m., police were called to the bank, at 137 Maine St., where employees reported the robbery, Brunswick Police Cmdr. Mark Waltz said.
No injuries were reported.
The suspect, described as a white man in his mid-20s and weighing 140 to 150 pounds, fled on foot.
The man was wearing white sneakers, a tan neck warmer and glasses that “looked like goggles,” Waltz said.
Police remained at the bank at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday collecting evidence, and bank officials were reviewing footage from security cameras.
Waltz said the Federal Bureau of Investigation was notified of the robbery.
