GARDINER, Maine — Police continued to search Thursday for a man they say robbed the Rite Aid on Wednesday afternoon in Gardiner.
At about 2 p.m. Wednesday, a man about 5 feet 9 inches tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants approached the store’s pharmacy counter and demanded narcotics from the pharmacist, according to a Gardiner Police Department news release.
Police did not state whether the man took money from the store as well.
The man then allegedly left the store and got into a two-door green Pontiac Sunfire that appeared to be waiting for him in a Spring Street driveway. The car was last seen heading west on Spring Street, according to police.
Police ask anyone with information about the robbery to call 624-7076.
No other information was immediately available.
