FAIRFIELD, Maine — Local police are seeking a man who allegedly robbed a convenience store early Monday morning.

According to a statement on Fairfield police’s Facebook page, the robbery occurred shortly after 12:30 a.m. at Cumberland Farms.

The statement said a lone male suspect walked into the store and demanded cash from the register, fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money.

The man stands 5 feet 8 inches tall, has a slim build and blue eyes. He was wearing a dark-colored jacket with a hood and a scarf over his face.

Anyone with information is urged to call Fairfield police at 453-9321.
