Game notes: UMaine closes out the home portion of its season against Hartford. The Black Bears will recognize their only senior, Valjarevic, prior to the game. The 6-4 senior guard from Belgrade, Serbia, ranks third in program history with 175 3-pointers and is fourth in 3-point attempts (468). He is a .374 career shooter from beyond the arc, averaging 2.2 3’s per contest in 80 games. The Black Bears have dropped three in a row and six of their last seven. They look to generate some momentum going into the AE tourney, which begins March 4 at home-court sites. UMaine is coming off Saturday’s 77-63 loss at UMBC. Hartford fell 70-64 on Friday at Albany and has lost three of four and seven of its last nine. The Hawks are ensconced in fifth place while UMaine will finish seventh or eighth.
