WALDOBORO, Maine — Law enforcement officials have confirmed they are investigating the alleged kidnapping of Karena Parker, 37, from her home in Waldoboro on Wednesday night.
Parker was “OK” and in Augusta talking with law enforcement Thursday morning, according to Lt. Michael Murphy of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
Parker was taken from her home in Waldoboro to Augusta as part of the kidnapping, Murphy said.
Law enforcement officials are looking for a vehicle and two black males in connection with the case, Murphy said. He did not share specifics or say the two men were suspects.
“We’re following up on some leads and trying to track down some people,” Murphy said.
Augusta Police Chief Robert Gregoire confirmed his department is investigating a complaint of kidnapping, which apparently originated in Waldoboro. He also declined to share further details.
