GORHAM — Future scientists went head-to-head Saturday at the 15th Annual Maine science bowl and Team A from Bangor High School came out on top.
More than 100 high school students made up 17 teams from across the state, reports Portland television station WGME, CBS 13.
The competition was styled in a game-show format similar to “Jeopardy” with students answering questions on a range of subjects including biology, chemistry and physics.
Robert Kuech, Ph. D., is one of the science bowl coordinators. He said, “These are the best science and math kids from all over the state. Besides being really smart students they’re just wonderful kids, students, to work with.”
