BIDDEFORD, Maine — An overnight fire in Biddeford damages part of an apartment building, forcing tenants to find another place to stay.
Firefighters said it started after midnight on the third floor of an apartment building at 261 Elm St. Officials say no one was hurt, but one cat died.
The cause remains under investigation, but firefighters said it does not look suspicious.
The third floor unit where it started is badly damaged.
Firefighters say tenants living on the bottom two floors may be able to move back in soon.
