PORTLAND, Maine — A Gorham man will spend 70 months behind bars on drug trafficking and firearms charges, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.

Richard Magee, 58, was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Portland. In addition to his prison term, he will be required to complete three years of supervised release.

Magee pled guilty to distributing cocaine and possessing firearms Oct. 29.

In August and September of 2013, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents learned Magee was obtaining cocaine from out of state and processing it in Maine. In October, a search warrant at his residence turned up a cocaine processing station in his basement that was used to add a cutting agent to the cocaine and “re-rock” it.

Also seized from the residence were five firearms.
