NORRIDGEWOCK, Maine — Somerset County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a crash involving a pickup truck that allegedly was stolen from a local store.

The vehicle was stolen from the Oosoola Store in Norridgewock, where it had been parked, according to Sgt. Michael Knight.

Deputies were called to Bigelow Hill Road shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday, when the pickup struck a snowbank and rolled over, according to Knight.

The occupant or occupants subsequently fled the scene, Knight said.
