TROY, Maine — Maine State Police detectives are investigating the death of a Troy man whose body was found by Waldo County sheriff’s deputies inside his home early Saturday morning.

Police had been called to the home of Steven Hodgdon, 49, at about 2:30 a.m., according to a news release issued Saturday afternoon from Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

Hodgdon lived at 188 Rutland Road with his teenage son, who is now staying with other relatives, McCausland said.

An autopsy is scheduled Sunday at the state medical examiner’s office in Augusta.
