  • 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, University of Maine System office, 16 Central St., Bangor.
  • 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, March 27, Brewer High School, 79 Parkway South, Brewer.

New staff member

BANGOR — Penobscot Community Health Care announced that Nurse Practitioner Monica Finley has joined the medical staff of PCHC’s Community Care and Geriatrics, whose

provider team serves patients in area nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities or for in-home visits.

Finley received an undergraduate degree from Barnard College, Columbia University and a

master’s degree in nursing from the University of Southern Maine.

Before joining PCHC, Finley served at Intermed in Portland where she oversaw

Anticoagulation Management Services.

Finley is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, with added certification in

anticoagulation therapy, and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.  For information, call 992-2601, ext. 1598.

Association appointee

BANGOR — Acadia Hospital President and CEO Daniel B. Coffey has been appointed to the American Hospital Association Governing Council for Psychiatric and Substance Abuse Services.

The three-year term will enable Coffey to work with other professionals in the field to help shape AHA services and policy in the areas of mental health and addiction treatment. Coffey is one of 18 individuals representing health care leadership from some of the country’s top psychiatric and behavioral health providers. The governing council advises the AHA on public policy issues, advocacy positions and emerging issues, and serves as a channel back to the field.

New medical director

BANGOR — Acadia Hospital child and adolescent psychiatrist Dr. Eric Kuntz was named recently the medical director of the hospital’s pediatric outpatient services.

In addition to his new duties, Kuntz will continue his role as medical director of education.

Pain management clinic

HOLDEN — Brewer Physical Therapy and Spine Clinic, 51 Main Road will host a free clinic with Anne Knowles, McKenzie certified physical therapist, on how to manage hip and lower back pain at 6 p.m. Wednesday March 18, at the facility.
