NEWRY, Maine — A pair of small earthquakes were reported in Newry late Wednesday night, according to the Weston Observatory at Boston College.

According to the observatory, the larger of the two earthquakes, which was reported shortly after 7:30 p.m., measured at magnitude 2.2 in Oxford County near the New Hampshire border.

The first quake, which was measured at magnitude 1.3, was reported shortly after 6:30 p.m., according to the observatory.
