WATERVILLE, Maine — Four residents of a Silver Street apartment building were displaced Thursday as the result of a fire that has been deemed accidental, the Waterville Fire Department said in a news release Thursday night.
The tenants are being assisted by the American Red Cross, fire department officials said.
The fire at 58 Silver St. began in Apartment 1 shortly after 5 p.m. and was extinguished within about 20 minutes. No injuries were reported.
The building is owned by Jiang Yun Ying, according to the news release. It was not immediately clear if the building was insured.
Waterville firefighters were assisted by their counterparts from Winslow and Fairfield.
