STANDISH, Maine — A Sebago woman was hospitalized Friday morning after the vehicle she was driving struck a pickup truck on Route 114, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
Cynthia McLellan, 53, was traveling east when she struck a pickup driven by 21-year old John Knowlton of Standish, who was pulling out of a driveway, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.
Knowlton’s pickup was broadsided by McLellan’s 2011 Kia, causing the pickup to roll over, the statement said.
McLellan’s injuries were not considered life threatening and she was transported to Maine Medical Center while Knowlton was treated at the scene.
The crash, which occurred shortly before 8 a.m., forced Route 114 to be shut down between Cole Hill Road and Harmon’s Beach Road for two hours.
