BANGOR, Maine — A 70-year-old Dexter man was indicted Wednesday by the Penobscot County grand jury on one count each of gross sexual assault, a Class A crime, and unlawful sexual contact, a Class B crime.
Craig Fellows is accused of sexually assaulting a boy under the age of 14 in 1993, according to Michael Roberts, deputy district attorney for Penobscot County.
Roberts said the crime was reported recently by the victim.
If convicted, Fellows faces up to 30 years in prison and a fine of up to $50,000 on the gross sexual assault charge. On the other charge, he faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $20,000.
