AUGUSTA, Maine — Local police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed the Circle K on Eastern Avenue late Tuesday night, according to Lt. Christopher Massey.
The suspect, who was not armed, entered the store with a ski-type mask over his face and demanded cash, according to Massey.
Even though the robber was not armed, he indicated to a clerk that he had a weapon, and was given a dollar amount under $100, according to Massey.
No injuries were reported and the robber fled the scene, Massey said. A canine track from the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office was not successful.
Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact Augusta police at 626-2370.
