MOUNT DESERT ISLAND, Maine — More than 4,000 Emera Maine customers in several MDI communities were without electricity Thursday night, the company said in a statement.

The outages affected approximately 4,353 customers on the island, according to Emera Maine.

The outages had been rectified as of Friday morning, according to Emera Maine’s website.

Towns affected were Southwest Harbor, Manset, Bass Harbor, West Tremont, Seal Cove, Somesville and Cranberry Isles.
