MACHIAS, Maine — Four Washington County men are facing drug charges after a raid early Wednesday morning, according to Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland.

Arrested were the following: Robert Clark Woodward, 46, of Columbia; Matthew Brooks, 33, and Owen Fickett, 28, both of Cherryfield and Harold Tenney, 54, of Columbia, according to McCausland.

The arrests came after a joint investigation between Washington County sheriff’s deputies and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, McCausland said.

Seized during a raid at Woodward’s residence were 10 grams of heroin valued at $4,000, a small amount of crack cocaine and other evidence of drug trafficking.

Woodward was charged with trafficking in schedule W drugs, a Class B felony, while Brooks, Fickett and Tenney were booked on a charge of possession of schedule W drugs, a Class C felony.

All four were brought to the Washington County Jail. The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are likely.
