BANGOR – Matthew Sidney Rideout passed unexpectedly on Sunday March 29th, 2015. He was born January 19th, 1983 to Ann Rideout and Dwinal Rideout. He attended Brewer High School graduating in 2001. He was a magnetic individual, who people always gravitated towards. He worked with his Dysart’s family for a number of years, at the Whig and Courier, and then found his home at Geaghan’s Pub & Craft Brewery. Matt loved to cook and his bass guitar. He was a boisterous, jovial person, who would do anything to make someone smile. But most importantly, he loved all of his friends as family. He touched so many lives and was someone that could always be counted on no matter the situation and to brighten everyone’s day. He will live on in all of our hearts. We love you Matt.. To Rock and Roll.

Matt is preceded in death by his parents Ann Rideout, Dwinal (Sonny) Rideout, a half sister Denise Gibula, A half brother Walt Gibula. He leaves behind a brother Christopher Rideout of Eddington, Maine, a sister Kay Gibula, Le Mars, Iowa, two nieces Jessica Niedert of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and her daughter Hannah Katherine, his great niece, and Katie (Niedert) Salyer of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, her husband Sean and their daughter Laura Grace, his great niece.
