MILLINOCKET, Maine – An estimated 1,170 Emera Maine customers are expected to be without electricity until about 1:30 p.m. due to a downed power line, a utility company spokesman said Friday.

The power outage occurred when a tree limb hit a line on Granite Street, spokesman Bob Potts said. A utility crew is on its way to the scene. A resident said that electricity seems to be cut along Route 11 in the area of McDonald’s restaurant.

The outage occurred at about 11 a.m., the resident said.
