MILLINOCKET, Maine — An estimated 1,170 Emera Maine customers lost electrical service for about two hours because of a downed power line, a utility company spokesman said Friday.

The power outage occurred when a tree limb hit a line on Granite Street, Emera Maine spokesman Bob Potts said. A resident said that electricity seemed to be cut along Route 11 in the area of McDonald’s restaurant.

The outage occurred at 11:54 a.m. The power was restored at about 2 p.m., another company spokesman said.
