Electricity was restored to 1,073 Emera Maine customers in four northern Penobscot County towns after an approximately two-hour outage Saturday, a company spokesman said.

Customers in Enfield, West Enfield, Lowell and Burlington went without electricity starting at shortly after noon, according to Bob Potts, an Emera spokesman. His press statement did not indicate a cause of the outage.

High winds were reported in much of northern Penobscot County on Saturday.

Emera Maine encourages customers to stay clear of downed power lines and trees in contact with power lines. Customers may report outages or ask questions by calling the company’s Customer Service Center at 207-973-2020 or 1-855-EMERA11 (1-855-363-7211).
