BANGOR – Thomas J. Mogan, 92, husband of the late Dorothy L. (Harvey) Mogan, died Apr. 12, 2015 at a Bangor nursing center. He was born Nov. 15, 1922 in Bangor, the son of Michael and Annie (Cawley) Mogan.
Tom was a lifelong resident of Bangor and worked for many years at New England Telephone Company. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church. Tom was the last of a generation. He was well known in the community for his loving and kind spirit. You could often find him giving people rides, walking his dog, attending church, visiting friends and family, or at his local hang outs.
Thomas is survived by his two sons, Michael J. Mogan and his wife, Beth of Scarborough and Christopher J. Mogan and longtime girlfriend, Sue Snow of Rockland; a stepson, Charles Thompson and wife, Anne of Alabama and two step granchildren, Anthony and Renee Thompson; as well as many nieces and nephews. Thank you to the many health care professionals for taking care of Tom. Words cannot express the gratitude to family members for watching over Tom.
Family and friends may call 5 – 7 PM Tuesday, Apr. 14, 2015 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, Apr. 15, 2015 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, York St., Bangor. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor with a time of friendship and refreshments in the parish center immediately afterward.
