BRUNSWICK, Maine — A Brunswick man has been indicted by a Cumberland County grand jury after police say he robbed the Bank of Maine on Maine Street in February.
Benjamin Lamphere, 20, also was indicted on four misdemeanor counts of criminal threatening.
Brunswick police went to the Bank of Maine branch at 137 Maine St. just after 2 p.m. Feb. 18, after employees reported a white man in his mid-20s pointed a gun at a teller and demanded cash before fleeing on foot, Brunswick police Cmdr. Mark Waltz said at the time.
Police would not disclose how much cash was taken. No one was injured during the incident.
Two days later, police released a photo of the robbery taken from security camera footage.
Brunswick police arrested Lamphere on Feb. 24. A court date was not immediately available Saturday.
