BANGOR, Maine — Nine of the 10 suspects arrested in a Dexter drug bust entered not-guilty pleas in their initial appearances in federal court on Tuesday, according to officials.
Assistant Attorney General and federal prosecutor Joel Casey said Wednesday all suspects, with the exception of Kelli Mujo, 29, of Harmony, pleaded not guilty to drug charges.
Mujo and nine other people, Roger Belanger, 57, of Corinna; Mark Tasker, 47, and Greg Tasker, 26, both of Dexter; John Williams, 42, and Cynthia Williams of Stetson; and Whitney Chadbourne, 21, Corey Pomerleau, 23, Eugene Moulton, 56, Antoinette Perrault, 46, were arrested Tuesday morning.
Casey said Chadbourne will face a detention hearing at 8 a.m. Thursday and Pomerleau at 10 a.m. Thursday at the federal courthouse in Bangor, while all other suspects, with the exceptions of Moulton and Perrault, will next appear in court Monday.
Detention hearings for Moulton and Perrault are scheduled for April 28, according to Casey.
Dexter Police Chief Kevin Wintle said the investigation into cocaine and oxycodone distribution that led to the arrests of the individuals spanned 1½ years.
