BIDDEFORD, Maine — A kitten is recovering after falling 16 feet and getting trapped inside a wall.
Firefighters say the kitten’s mother took up shelter inside a vacant building in Biddeford that burned last year.
They say the cat put one of her kittens inside a hole in the wall.
Crews say it fell 16 feet inside the wall.
Neighbors, who heard its cries for help, called firefighters, and crews used thermal imaging to find the kitten.
A hole had to be cut in the building to get to the kitten.
The kitten suffered an eye injury and is now in foster care until it can be adopted.
