BANGOR, Maine — Maine State Police have charged a second man with murder in connection with the shooting death of a Biddeford man in March 2013, Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said in a news release.
John Lopez, 20, was arrested at an Old Orchard Beach gas station Tuesday morning, McCausland said.
Lopez was taken to the York County Jail and is scheduled to make his initial court appearance in York County Superior Court on Wednesday morning.
According to McCausland, Lopez is charged in connection with the death of Charles Raybine, who was shot while sitting in his car outside Parish Place Apartments on March 26, 2013.
In June of that year, Bub Peter Nquany, 25, was arrested and charged with murder in connection with the death. His trial is scheduled to begin in June.
The shooting was drug-related, McCausland said.
