TRENTON, Maine — Work is scheduled to start on the intersection of Routes 3 and 204 on May 4 in Hancock County, according to the Maine Department of Transportation.

The project includes excavating existing pavement to widen the road and the shoulders, while turning lanes and a traffic signal will be added.

Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times with alternating one-way traffic if night work is required.

The $1.1 million project is expected to wrap up by September.
