WALDOBORO, Maine — Investigators have determined a man who died in a fire in Waldoboro last week set his garage ablaze before turning a gun on himself.
The body of Jeffrey Pinkham, 53 was found in his burned-out garage last Friday, according to Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Department of Public Safety.
Investigators believe Pinkham started the fire in the early-morning hours last Friday before shooting himself in the basement of the Route 1 auto repair shop.
The State Medical Examiner’s Office were able to identify Pinkham via DNA.
