ORRINGTON – Orin Delmar “Del” Fogg, 88, died Thursday, February 12, 2015, at a Bangor hospital. A graduate of Bangor High School, class of 1944, and Husson College, Bangor in 1948, Del served eight years with the US Navy in World War II on the USS Otus in the Leyte Gulf, and during the Korean Conflict on the USS Delta. He worked at Fogg’s Grocery at Eddington Bend, where he also ran a gas station and TV and radio repair business. He was employed with New England Telephone and Telegraph Company and was an electrician at the University of Maine at Orono for twenty-nine and a half years.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Marilyn Dudley Fogg, daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Alan Hanscom of Andover, NH, son Gary and fiancé Jennifer Anderson of Eddington and three grandchildren.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held 1 p.m. Friday, May 8th at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor, with the Rev. Harbour Mitchell III officiating.
