BRUNSWICK, Maine — A 60-year-old Georgetown bicyclist struck by a car while riding Friday afternoon on Middle Bay Road has been released from Maine Medical Center.

Brian Bartlett was bicycling east on Middle Bay Road just before 3:30 p.m. Friday when he failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a Subaru headed north on Harpswell Road, Brunswick police Cmdr. Marc Hagan said Monday.

Bartlett suffered a head injury and was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland. He has since been released, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

Neither the driver of the 2000 Subaru, 29-year-old Jennifer Morgan of Harpswell, nor her passenger, 31-year-old Brandon Goldrup, were injured, Hagan said.
