AUBURN, Maine — Cpl. Kris Bouchard of the Auburn Police Department rescued five baby raccoons Tuesday.
According to the department, Bouchard was responding to a call on Caron Lane when he found the distressed animals. They say the mother was sick and had abandoned the babies in a tree.
Working with The Maine Animal Damage Control and the Auburn Electrical Department, Bouchard was able to “rescue these adorable little bundles of fur.”
The raccoons were taken to the animal rehabilitation facility in Vassalboro.
