NEW GLOUCESTER, Maine — A New Gloucester man is facing multiple charges after a search warrant yielded several firearms, according to a Maine State Police statement.

Troy Babb, 49, is prohibited from possessing firearms due to a pair of felony convictions from the 1990’s, according to the statement.

The seized firearms included shotguns, handguns and rifles, along with ammunition and firearms accessories, according to the statement.

Babb was charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, making a false statement on an application for a concealed weapons permit and fraudulently obtaining a hunting license.

Babb is scheduled to face a judge in Portland in June.
