SANFORD, Maine — A man was hospitalized Thursday after a crash involving his motorcycle and an SUV, according to police.
The man, whose name was not released, was not wearing a helmet and suffered a head injury, according to Sanford police Cpl. Matthew Gagne.
The crash, which occurred at the intersection of Main Street and Pleasant Avenue, was reported shortly after 7 p.m., Gagne said.
The SUV’s driver was treated at the scene and released. The motorcyclist was airlifted to Maine Medical Center in Portland.
The accident remains under investigation.
