FREEPORT, Maine — A pair of boys were taken to a Portland hospital Friday after an ATV crashed into a utility pole, officials said.
Freeport Fire Chief Paul Conley said the boys, whose ages were not available, suffered injuries not considered to be life-threatening. The boys were riding on the same machine.
The chief said the boys were riding in a long dirt driveway at the time of the accident, which was reported around 10 a.m.
It was not known if the boys were wearing helmets. They were taken to Maine Medical Center for treatment of their injuries, Conley said.
The Maine Warden Service is investigating the crash.
