ELLSWORTH, Maine — A Quebec woman was injured when her motorcycle collided with a pickup truck and she was thrown several yards on Bangor Road on Saturday, police said Sunday.

The 51-year-old woman, whose name was not available, was traveling with more than a dozen other motorcyclists and almost into Dedham when the collision occurred at about 4:15 p.m., police said.

The woman rolled down the road after the accident. She was conscious at the scene and complained of pain in her side, police said. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening.

A Hancock County ambulance took her Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth. A report on her condition was not available Sunday without her name.

Ellsworth police Officer Fred Ehrenbach, who is handling the investigation, could not be reached for comment.
