GREENE, Maine — A local man was arrested Wednesday on child pornography charges, according to police.

Josh Chretien, 25, was taken into custody without incident at his home, Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said.

A review of Chretien’s computer by the state police computer crimes unit turned up images of child pornography, McCausland said.

Chretien was charged with possession of sexually explicit material of a child under age 12 and taken to Androscoggin County Jail, and released on bail.

Chretien lives with his mother and young son.
