ELLSWORTH, Maine — A Lewiston man was arrested over the weekend in connection with an assault on a woman, according to Ellsworth police.

Vincent Turner, 44, is facing multiple charges in connection with the incident, Lt. Harold Page said. Turner was arrested on Saturday.

According to Page, the victim was a woman that Turner had met just a few weeks ago.

Among the charges Turner is facing are gross sexual assault, a Class A felony, along with domestic violence assault and violation of bail, the lieutenant said.

Turner was taken to Hancock County Jail after he was arrested.
